Lingyao Studio ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Cleaner Copilot mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our App.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Because the App accesses your photo library or files to provide cleaning suggestions, we want to be extremely transparent about what we do and do not do with your data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimal data necessary to provide and improve the decluttering service:
a) Information You Provide Directly:
Account Information: If you create an account, we may collect your email address, name, or third-party login identifiers (e.g., Sign in with Apple or Google).
Customer Support: Communications and data you submit when contacting support.
b) Information Processed Automatically (Device & Usage Data):
Device Data: Device model, operating system version, language, and app version.
Usage Analytics: We use anonymized analytics tools (such as Firebase or similar) to understand how features like "Swipe to Delete" or "Gallery Overview" are used. This data does not include the content of your photos.
Purchase Token: When you subscribe, we receive a transaction token from Apple/Google to verify your subscription status. We do not see your full credit card details.
c) Sensitive Permissions: Photo Library & Files (Core Functionality)
The primary purpose of our App is to help you clean and organize your digital clutter. To do this:
Local Processing: The App scans your photo library or specified folders directly on your device. It analyzes metadata (such as file size, resolution, date, and visual similarity scores) to identify duplicates, screenshots, and large files.
No Uploading to Servers: We do NOT upload your photos, videos, or files to our cloud servers for analysis unless explicitly stated for a specific cloud-based feature (e.g., secure cloud backup, which would be optional and clearly explained).
Face/Grouping Data: If the App uses on-device machine learning to group faces for organizing photos, this biometric mapping stays securely in the App's local sandbox and is never transmitted off-device.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
To provide and maintain the core App functionality (scanning, categorizing, and organizing clutter).
To manage your subscription status and provide Premium features.
To send you push notifications (only if you opt-in) regarding cleaning reminders or storage alerts.
To provide customer support and troubleshoot bugs.
To generate aggregated, fully anonymized statistics for app improvement (e.g., "average storage saved per user").
To ensure compliance with our Terms of Service and applicable law.
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal data, ever. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers: We share data with third-party vendors who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, crash reporting, email delivery). These providers are contractually bound to use data only on our instructions.
Analytics and Crash Reporting: We use tools like Google Firebase, Sentry, or similar services to collect anonymized usage data and crash logs.
Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or legal process.
Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as a business asset. You will be notified before this transfer occurs.
4. Your Rights and Choices (GDPR & CCPA)
We provide all users, regardless of location, with robust rights over their data:
Access & Portability: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the App's Settings. Upon request, we will erase your personal data from our records within 30 days, except for data we must retain for legitimate business or legal purposes.
Correction: You can update your account information.
Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal data. Therefore, no opt-out mechanism for "sale of data" is necessary, but we honor "Do Not Sell" browser signals.
Restrict Processing: You may ask us to stop processing your data if you contest accuracy or object to processing.
Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

5. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who discover their child has provided data should contact us at support@cleanercopilot.com
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. Anonymized usage analytics data may be kept indefinitely for statistical purposes. When you delete the App from your device, local cache cleaning data is deleted; however, your account data on our servers remains until you explicitly request account deletion.
7. Security
The security of your data is important to us. We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
8. International Data Transfers
Our servers may be located in the United States or other countries. If you are accessing the App from the European Union, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country with different privacy laws. In such cases, we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), are in place to protect your data.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice within the App or via email before the change becomes effective. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
